Welcome to Defense Control.

It is no secret that terrorism has expanded on such a worrying scale worldwide that no one can feel immune from it today.  It is in the news every day.  In 2004 there were 3,200 attacks against  non-combatant targets,  resulting in some 28,500 people killed, injured, or missing.

Many governments are making great efforts to counter this scourge, and  increasingly effective international collaboration has contributed tremendously to reducing this threat.

Even so, containing and eliminating the malignancy that is terrorism is not possible if governments do not have the support of their citizens.  Now, and for the forseeable future, it is the responsibility of every good citizen, regardless of what nation he calls home, to refuse to be complacent in the face of terrorism.
