FAQ : Armoring

  • What are the different armoring levels?

Mainly the armoring levels are the following :

    • B5 level
    • B6 level (EN 1063) and Stanag 4569 level 1 (NATO)
    • Stanag 4569 Level 2 (NATO)
    • B7 Level (EB 1063)
  • Why do you communicate on “armoring 90°” ?

Because official testing are performed with ammunitions shot at 90°. Some of armoring company argue they provide like level 7 armoring with ammunitions shot at 30° or 60 °. It is dramatically not the same. How can you choose the angle your enemy will shoot you? What happens if you’re shot at 90° during an ambush with an armor piercing 7,62 x 51 ammunition if your so-called B7 level protection levels only stops ammunitions at 60°?

  • What kind of ammunition exists in Middle-East?

In Middle-East, we can face a lot of AK47 (Kalashnikov) 7,62 x 39 ammunition. But there is also the Armor Piercing version (AP) of this ammunition, names AK47 7,62 x 39 API BZ which go through all the existing B5/B6 levels.
